Sports news - World Championship darts news.
The world championship darts are always fascinating and full
of surprises.
First of all pay attention to Michael van Gerwen holds off
Gerwyn Price in World Championship darts.
Michael van Gerwen was born on 25 April 1989. He is a Dutch
professional darts player. He is the reigning PDC World Champion and currently
ranked world number one. He began playing darts at the age of 13 and had won
the World Masters and thrown a televised nine-dart finish within four years,
becoming the youngest player to do either.
In the quarter-finals of the PDC World Championship this
year, he defeated Gerwyn Price 4-2 at Alexandra Palace but No. 1 seed did not
have everything in his own way.
Viewers realized that he had won the first two sets before
Price, No. 16 seed, fought back to impress. It is not simple. Van Gerwen went
3-2 up and finished off his opponent in the sixth set with double seven.
Therefore, we were not surprised when he said that he would
have to play better than himself in future matches. Van Gerwen may be will play
Raymond van Barneveld in the last eight.
Another notable information is Van Barneveld reached the
last position with a 4-1 win over Dutchman Vincent van der Voder. They are all
Dutch. Raymond van Barneveld is a Dutch professional darts player, currently
playing in the Professional Darts Corporation. Nicknamed Barney, he is one of
the most successful darts players in history.
And Vincent van der Voder, he also is a Dutch professional
darts player on the PDC circuit. As of the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship,
his nickname is the Dutch Destroyer, but he is more commonly referred to as the
Fastest Player in the World, though it was never considered to be an official
nickname.
Other information such as Wright won the opening set against
the darts but his Welsh opponent took the second with three 12-dart legs. Lewis won the next leg to seal a deserved
success, and Lewis edged the third set and shortly after producing his 12th of
13 maximums.
Besides we have to say won 4-1 in the second round for
Darren Webster of England and Toni Alcinas of Spain against Simon Whitlock of Australia
and Kevin Munch of Germany.
Darren Webster was born on 10 June 1968 in Norwich. He is an
English darts player nicknamed Demolition Man. He is a full-time professional
who used to work in property maintenance, and Antonio "Toni" Alcinas
Estelrich was born on 7 April 1979, he is a Spanish darts player, playing in
Professional Darts Corporation events.
