National Taco Day is Wednesday, Oct. 4.
Taco Bell is offering a four-taco box for $5 at all locations on Wednesday. Each box comes with one Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco, Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco, Fiery Doritos Locos Taco and a Crunchy Taco nestled in a limited edition wrapper.
Taco Bell, Chuy's, El Pollo Loco, On the Border, and Tijuana Flats are among those offering free tacos or deals on National Taco Day, including two-for-one taco specials and mini tacos for as little as 50 cents each.
A special thing is this year, customers can get a gift set of four tacos which includes a crunchy taco, Doritos Locos taco, Cool Ranch Doritos Locos taco, and Fiery Doritos Locos taco for just $5.
Taco platters are buy one, get one at El Pollo Loco with a coupon available on the company’s website.
Members of Del Taco’s Raving Fan eClub will get an additional Queso Crunch Taco when they buy one on Wednesday.
For every taco you buy at regular price on Wednesday, you'll get a second taco for free in California Tortilla. California Tortilla, also known as CalTort, is a chain of franchised fast casual Mexican-style restaurants, the first of which was opened in August 1995 in Bethesda, Maryland by business partners Pam Felix and Alan Cohen.
In Chuy's, on National Taco Day, people who dress up in a full taco costume get a free entrée. Other specials include a free crispy beef taco with an entrée purchase, $1 off Mexican beers, and $1 crispy beef tacos as add-ons to an order. Chuy's is a Tex-Mex restaurant chain established in 1982, by Mike Young and John Zapp.
In Tijuana Flats, all day on Wednesday, tacos and Mexican draft beers are $2 each in most Tijuana Flats locations. (In South Carolina, tacos are $2 all day, but Mexican drafts are $2 only from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
Tijuana Flats Tex-Mex is an American restaurant chain serving Tex-Mex cuisine. It has 130 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Indiana.
Finally, ground beef or bean tacos are buy one, get one free at Jimboy’s Tacos with a limit of three purchases per guest.
