Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar Lead the Way in Grammy Nominations 2018.

Who are the top candidates for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards? Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar are among the top candidates for this award. They are leading the heavy nominations for hip-hop and  urban music. Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar received 15 nominations.

In common sense, all major awards are displayed under the supervision of a combination of diversity, and it must always stand out. Nominations for which were announced Tuesday.

The Recording Academy quickly took over the genre in its most prestigious genres for the 60th Grammy.

Each artist received a nod in the top music and album categories of the year. This underscores the central role of hip-hop and urban music in contemporary pop music.

Kendrick Lamar Duckworth is an American rapper and songwriter. Raised in Compton, California, Lamar embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE).

He began to gain recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, he independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR".
