Wayne Rooney has been banned from driving for two years - LP 205



Wayne Rooney admitted driving in a drunken state.As a consequence, the England captain was banned from driving for two years.

According to many reports that he had three times over the limit. Wayne Rooney had made a terrible mistake.

John Temperley, District Court Judge at Stockport Courthouse, sentenced Rooney to a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work.

He has also been fined two weeks’ wages by his club, Everton, reported to amount to £300,000.

Michael Rainford is Rooney’s solicitor said that “Through me Wayne wishes to express his genuine remorse for what was a terrible mistake and a terrible error of judgment on his behalf.”

On August 21, Rooney scored the 100th goal for the Premier League in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City, becoming the second player to reach the milestone, Alan Shearer was the first team.
