Who is Catriona Gray and why she participated in Binibining
Pilipinas 2018.
Catriona Elisa Gray was born on 6 January 1994. She is an
Australian-Filipino TV Host, singer, model and beauty pageant titleholder who
won Miss World Philippines 2016 and placed as a Top 5 Finalist in Miss World
2016, finishing as the Third Runner-up .
People suddenly notice more with the hot news that in the
photos posted on the blogger Norman Tinio, Catriona was discovered holding a
bouquet of flowers and registration forms to participate in this contest.
And this has been confirmed that former Miss World of the
Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray has applied for his registration to participate
in the Bb Pilipinas 2018 program.
On Catriona Gray's instagram account she confided that today
marks the presence of an evolution of herself and she hopes everyone will
accompany her on this new journey well.

Gray was born in Cairns, Queensland to an Australian father,
Ian Gray, and a Filipino mother, Normita Ragas Magnayon, from Oas, Albay.
Catriona was the lead singer of her school's jazz band along
with sport captain. After finishing high school studies in Australia, she made
the decision to move to Manila, Philippines. Within a few months of arriving in
Manila, and still just 18, she became recognised as one of the top commercial
models in the Philippines.
Catriona is named after her paternal grandmother, Catherine
Gray nee Ross, who migrated to Western Australia from Scotland in 1952 and was
an accomplished local painter.
On 2 October 2016, Gray was crowned Miss World Philippines
2016 and competed at Miss World 2016 held in MGM National Harbor, in the state
of Maryland, United States. She won the following special awards: Best in
Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Best in Fashion Runway and Best in Talent in
her national competition.
Gray represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2016
where she placed in the Top 5.She also won the Multimedia Award, and placed
second for Talent, and her Beauty with a Purpose project made it to the Top 5.
On 8 January 2018, Gray submitted her application at the Bb.
Pilipinas office at the Araneta Center to officially join the Binibining
Pilipinas 2018 pageant in April.
